In fact this was the second prototype, but the first that was completely functional.
You need to attach your videocamera (one Canon MV5 is here) at a helmet with good adjust to head. There are some tricks to obtain good results: 1) Positioning the weight lower as possible; 2) Using an apropiated counterweight; 3) Using a wide conversor lens (standard lenses usually are not wide enough for on-board recording)

Aluminium plates are fixed to helmet with epoxi glue. Is necessary scratch the surface of helmet to improve adherence. Artifacts are fixed to aluminium plates with little screws.

This is a old video recorded with H.EXP 1.0 when commercial helmetcam systems were very rare. The trail is near to Castellon, Spain, like the most that you will see in this blog.
